The SPROUTS Program exists to support the youngest members of our community by providing them with needed assistance in their physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. We wish to partner with primary referral sources such as physicians, early childhood educators, caregivers, social workers, therapists and families to improve the process of identifying children 0-5 years who may be eligible for early intervention services. We provide screening services for children 0-5 years old, at no cost, to determine if they are on track in their development. For those who demonstrate areas of delay in their development, we provide guidance in contacting service providers to set up additional assessments. We assist in the implementation of these services, as well as provide follow up assistance when needed.
We believe that educating parents, caregivers in our community about developmentally appropriate milestones and experiences positively impacts not only the future of each child, but also the future of each family and ultimately our entire community. Helping one helps everyone. We also provide workshops on the importance of early development and developmentally appropriate practices for parents, grandparents, caregivers and others in our community.
